• On our 'Paris Experience 1' a qualified guide introduces you to Monet and other great impressionists' in the Musee d'Orsay. Next it's a short drive into the country to visit the impressive Palace of Versailles. Built by Louis XIV, enjoyed by Louis XV and paid for with his life by Louis XVI. Enjoy the formal gardens designed by Le Notre and the State Apartments including the Hall of Mirrors on your guided tour before returning to Paris where the dazzling nightlife beckons.

• Should you wish to continue your introduction to Paris for a second day then our 'Paris Experience 2' with our expert guide will introduce you to the great works of the sculptor Auguste Rodin, including The Thinker and The Kiss. Later drive through the Latin Quarter along the Boulevard St. Michel, past the Sorbonne University and by the Luxembourg Gardens to the bohemian quarter of Montmartre. Walk through the historic lower Montmartre area before ascending by funicular to the Place du Tertre for lunch in a typical Parisian bistro. Local street artists can capture your likeness in minutes - a great souvenir to take home - and close by you can appreciate the view from the steps of Sacre-Coeur Basilica.

Day 1 - DEPART USA.

Day 2 - ARRIVE LONDON.

After checking in to your hotel, the afternoon is yours to relax or to explore. Spend the evening at an informative meeting and enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Insight local host.

Days 3 & 4 - LONDON AT LEISURE.

You have two full days in this historic capital, but where do you start? To help get your bearings, we include a half-day sightseeing tour of London's West End. See Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, then drive past Downing Street to Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column. Finally, witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. Your city tour ends in the heart of the West End where the afternoon and all of the next day is completely at leisure to visit the fine museums, shop in the department stores or attend a show at one of London's theatres. Day 5 - LONDON - PARIS.

After a warm welcome from your Tour Director, you are transferred to St Pancras Station to board the high-speed Eurostar train service to Paris. Your comfortable two-and-a-half hour rail journey takes you under the English Channel via the historic Channel Tunnel. On arrival in the French capital, you see the Opera House, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and enchanting Notre Dame Cathedral before reaching your hotel.

Days 6 & 7 - PARIS AT LEISURE.

You've got two whole days to visit the great galleries, take side trips, stroll by the Seine, window-shop in the Faubourg St-Honore and enjoy a pleasant hour or two watching the passers-by from a Parisian cafe. Alternatively you could leave the sightseeing up to us.

After dark, the City of Light really lives up to its name when the monuments, buildings and bridges are lit up in all their glory and we have great options for touring, dining and cabaret. The best thing is that you have the gastronomic capital of the world at your service. Whether you opt for fine dining at a top class restaurant, or the more rustic bistros, brasseries and cafes, your meal is assured to be a memorable one. Magnifique! (BB)

Day 8 - AFTERNOON FLIGHT FROM PARIS TO ROME.

Today is at leisure until this afternoon when we board our airplane in Paris for teh brief flight to Rome. On arrival you will be met by your Insight Rome Representative and transferred to your hotel for three nights. En route you will be given an orientation tour of Rome, featuring views of the Colosseum and St Peter's Basilica, to help you plan your sightseeing for the next two days. As twilight descends, Rome's monuments, squares and churches take on a different character. Head for Pincio Gardens for a romantic view over the city at sunset, then maybe join the locals for a promenade around the illuminated Piazza Navona. What could be more Roman? (BB)

Days 9 & 10 - ROME AT LEISURE.
